Mr Wickham’s class created elegant stain glass windows for Christmas using recycled sweet wrappers. 

The children created their own interpretation of the famous painting “The Scream” by Munch.

Here are some facts about “The Scream”

  1. ‘The Scream’ was painted by the Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch.
  2. There are four versions of ‘The Scream’ that were made using oil and tempera paint and pastel and crayon on cardboard.
  3. ‘The Scream’ measures 91cm long by 73.5cm wide.
  4. ‘The Scream’ is known as ‘Skrik’ in Norwegian.
  5. The version of ‘The Scream’ which is housed in the National Gallery of Norway was stolen in 1994. It has since been recovered.
  6. The version of ‘The Scream’ which is housed in The Munch Museum was stolen in 2004. It has since been recovered.
  7. The pop artist, Andy Warhol, created silk prints based on ‘The Scream’

Mr Wickham’s class has these growth mindset posters hanging in their room. Kids with a growth mindset are more engaged and motivated learners.
