Miss Bolger’s Senior and 1st Class
Ms Bolger’s class have started Literacy and Maths Groups since Easter. They cover a variety of areas in the half an hour.
Ms Bolger’s class love reading. They enjoyed a variety of the Traditional Tales over the last few weeks in reading groups.
Ms Bolger’s and Ms. Kehoe’s class had a visit from two Firefighters. They spoke to the class about fire safety. They told them they have heavy protective suit.
As part of Road Safety in S.P.H.E. Ms Bolger’s class became Seatbelt Sheriffs. They learned that the safest way for children to travel in a car is to use the right safety seat or safety belt. As a Seatbelt Sheriff, the children will set a good example to everyone by buckling up as soon as they get in the car and make sure everyone always wears a safety belt – no matter how short the journey is!
Ms Bolger’s class had lots of fun making pancakes and writing recipes with Miss Meyler and Miss Bolger for Pancake Tuesday.

The children in Seniors and 1st wrote their Santa letters last Friday. They walked to the local post office with the school secretary Philomena after lunch. They were spoilt by local shop owner Breda of Breds’s Corner Shop who gave them tasty lollipops.
Miss Bolger’s class created their own penguins today as part of Art class. They wrapped them up nice and warm with scarves and earmuffs.
