Round 2

We have recently recieved the next motion for the Debating Competition. We will face Murrintown.

The motion is:

“Water Conservation is not an important issue in Ireland”

We are proposing the motion.

Round 1

We have been very busy in the 5th and 6th classes preparing for the first round of the Debating Competition. On Friday

21st December, we faced Kilrane N.S. to debate the topic,

” We should only eat food produced in Ireland.”

We were the Opposition. The children were very busy researching this challenging and topical issue and were busy

drafting strong arguments.

Today we traveled to Kilrane Natioanl School and we were very lucky to be the winning team.

Congratulations to captain Wal Cullen, Aideen Harpur and Robyn Roche who participated in the debate.

Well done to all who gathered information and helped  out over this busy time.

We look forward to the next debate after Christmas.
